HOWZIT
We are a furniture and homeware design studio that manufactures products in house. As our name suggests, we value collaboration in the coming together of ideas, mediums and people. Our designs strive to be open and honest in material and manufacturing methods with an emphasis on quality and detail.
Tandem Design House was founded through the collaboration between Josh and Pia who met studying Industrial Design. Once they started designing and making together, they couldn't stop. Now that they've got their workshop set up, the possibilities are endless. Two people working together on one common goal.
Our workspace is located in the heart of Joburg within the urban artisan complex, Victoria Yards. In both our aesthetic and our materials we hold our context as a central guide. We believe that with an appreciation for local and hand-made, we can use new technologies to re-imagining the traditional field of furniture design.
